21 June 2000 FIA have warned the organisers of the British GP that the race might not be included in next year's schedule if changes are not put in place to solve the problems with traffic and parking. The FIA council will gather in October and the changes wil have to be in place by then. A spokeperson for Silverstone said they are confident they will meet all the criteria. In the meantime, FIA has given the British GP a May date in the provisional 2001 calendar released today.
19 June 2000 Norbert Haug gave Ron Dennis a model of the MP4/15 in silver as a gift to celebrate the 500th GP of McLaren.
19 June 2000 Diniz has been given a 25" penalty plus an official warning after causing the accident with De La Rosa. Villeneuve has been given the same penalty and warning too after causing R. Schumacher's retirement.
19 June 2000 M. Schumacher suffered from problems with his car in the late stages of the GP. Barrichello was told to let his team mate win, despite being in the position to overtake the German and win the race himslef. Ferrari technicians later found out that the problems in M. Schumacher's car had been due to overheating of the right back brake caused by a bent air vent. M. Schumacher publicly thanked his team mate for letting him win and promised to pay him back. The Brazilian said that he had to fight off the very strong temptation to go for it and win the race.
18 June 2000 M. Schumacher and Barrichello brought home a ferrari one-two in a very wet Canadian GP. Fisichella finished on the podium for the third year in a row, ahead of a non-descript Hakkinen, a very good Verstappen and Trulli. 17 June 2000 M. Schumacher won pole position for tomorrow's Canadian GP after mcLaren's Coulthard had looked like the favourite for almost the whole session. Ferrari's Barrichello will start from third postion on teh grid, with Hakkinen alongside him. Frentzen and Villeneuve will share the third row.

16 June 2000 R. Schumacher is fit enough to take part in the Canadian GP. The German said that he still feels some pain when he puts weight on the wounded foot, but that extra padding will be put in the cockpit in the feet area.
15 June 2000 R. Schumacher will drive in the Friday practice session, then he will decide whether to take part in the Canadian GP. According to F1 regulations, the driver can be changed up to just before the qualifying session.
14 June 2000 Willi Weber, M. Schumacher's personal manager, has denied having secretely met Flavio Briatore over the German driver's future. According to magazine Motorsport Aktuell, Briatore wants M. Schumacher back at Benetton when his contract with Ferrari expires in 2002. Briatore allegedly also wants Byrne and Brawn back.
13 June 2000 R. Schumacher will carry out some brake tests in Canada to assess whether he is fit for taking part in the GP on Sunday.
12 June 2000 R. Schumacher is travelling to canada, but will only decide on Thursday whether he will take part in the Canadian GP. The Williams team have told Junqueira to be on stand-by.
9 June 2000 Villeneuve has said after the tests at Monza that things at BAR are changing rapidly, that he does not own any shares in BAR and, should he decide to go to another team (such as McLaren or Benetton), Craig Pollock would probably follow him.
7 June 2000 Barrichello suffered another suspension problem during the tests at Monza, that caused him to spin.
7 June 2000 Zonta came out unscathed from a spectacular accident during the tests at Monza. The Brazilian lost control of his BAR due to a suspension failure and hit the tyre barrier. The car bounced back, span and hit the barrier on the opposite side of the track. The accident, in which the car ws completely destroyed, was reminiscent of the accident Zonta was involved in before the British GP.
7 June 2000 R. Schumacher said to German paper Bild that it was pure luck the suspension arm did not fracture the bones in his leg in the accident at Monaco. Hospital tests have shown that the eight cm cut in his ankle is not infected and there are no pieces of carbon fiber embedded in it. His spokeperson Franz Tost said that Ralf, who is currently in a specialised clinic in Cologne, will have to rest for at least ten days. BMW spokeperson Guido Stalmann added that the decision whether he will race in Canada or not will be taken at the weekend. Junqueira is currently replacing R. Schumacher in the test sessions at Monza.
7 June 2000 The rumour that Frentzen will move to Jaguar in 2001 has been denied.
6 June 2000 According to German magazine "Motorsport Aktuell", Juan Pablo Montoya is likely to be R. Schumacher's new team mate at Williams next year in place of Jenson Button.
5 June 2000 According to Ferrari the exact same fault had developed in Barrichello's exhaust as in M. Schumacher's during the Monaco GP, only in Barrichello's case the crack was positioned so that the heat did not damage any other part of the car. Ferrari mechanics are now trying to work out how it happened.
4 June 2000 David Coulthard was the winner of the Monaco GP after a broken suspension took an otherwise seemingly unstoppable M. Schumacher out two thirds into the race. Barrichello finished second in front of Fisichella. Irvine won the first Jaguar points by finishing in fourth position, ahead of Salo and Hakkinen, who had suffered from brakes problems earlier in the race. 4 June 2000 F1 supremo Ecclestone denied that there are any plans to remove the Monaco GP from the calendar after Ron Dennis called the pits facilities "Third World".
3 June 2000 M. Schumacher clocked the fastest lap time to start the Monaco GP from pole position. Trulli will start alongside him in his best ever grid position. Coulthard and Frenzten will share the second row. Title contender Hakkinen put in a last-minute effort to gain fifth position on the grid after other drivers kept on having accidents while he was out on a fast lap throughout the whole session. Barrichello will start alongside the Finn.

2 June 2000 Rumours have it that Jenkins will no longer be working for the Prost team. Earlier in the week the team had put out a statement pointing out that Jenkins had not quit the team, but that he would not be present at Monaco. Jean Louis Gousset is favourite to take his place within the team.
1 June 2000 Current World Champion Hakkinen was fastest in the Thursday free practice ahead of the Monaco GP. Current Drivers Championship leader M. Schumacher was second ahead of Coulthard, Irvine, Frentzen and R. Schumacher.
